Ellery Trafford is from Atlanta and currently lives in New York City. He specializes in avant garde and experimental music and is committed to furthering contemporary music through continuous reinvention and communication with his community. Trafford holds degrees from Georgia State University and Bowling Green State University. His biggest musical influences are John Cage and Gerard Grisey. Trafford has performed at the the Sö Percussion Summer Institute, Bang On A Can Summer Festival, Third Practice Electroacoustic Music Festival and the SPARK Electronic Arts Festival, as well as iconic New York venues such as The Stone and le Poisson Rouge. He has recently recorded music for Dan Deacon and is attending the Manhattan School of Music.
